Artist Residency Programs Come to Sunny Point

Two unique Residency Programs have been designed this summer to offer both artists and students the opportunity to explore their craft, and to reflect and nurture their inner selves and creative talents. These programs are meant to attract and inspire self-motivated individuals who understand the importance of developing new work, honing their skills and spending meaningful time pursuing their interests while also embracing others who have a desire to learn about and experience the joys that come through art.

The Artist in Residency program offers the artist a free week’s stay in the White Cottage, full access to the studios in the Red Barn and grounds, and an opportunity to focus uninterrupted attention on the artist’s preferred talent. This gift includes the expectation that the artist will donate back to YCAC and/or community in the form of a lecture, demonstration or a piece of his or her art work. Travel and board not included.

The Host Residency offers, for a set fee, an artist the opportunity to provide education to students of the artist’s choosing with use of the White Cottage, studios in the Red Barn and grounds. Host a community open house at the end of your residency.
