Palettes of Keuka 2011
We're launching into our fifth year of the very successful Palettes of Keuka arts event! As the original summer-long event for the Keuka lake region, the Palettes of Keuka has inspired upwards of 40 artists each year to create artwork on giant size artist palettes. More importantly, we're excited to have accomplished our goal of bringing art to the forefront all around Keuka lake during the summer months. This event has also afforded us wonderful opportunities to provide funding for numerous art related activities and scholarships. Each year direct thousands of dollars in funding towards the support of the arts in our area!
This year we're on track to showcase 50 palettes at locations surrounding Keuka lake ! Beginning on July 1st the palettes will go on display. Maps, which include a fun puzzle which can be completed using clues from each palette will be available at each palette location as well as the Hammondsport Visitor's Center. Completed puzzles can be turned in at the Visitor's Center to be eligible for a drawing at the auction. Winners will be awarded prizes in the form of gift certificates good at local shops and wineries. In four short years we have created a Keuka lake tradition with our grand finale auction held in the village square in Hammondsport. This years auction is scheduled for Saturday, September 10th.
