Harpsichordist Byron Schenkman and his guest violinist Ingrid Matthews transport audiences back to the days of baroque and medieval music. Schenkman has recorded more than thirty CDs of 17th- and 18th-century repertoire, including performances on original instruments. As a pianist and harpsichordist, he has appeared with numerous chamber ensembles and given solo recitals all over North America. In 2009, Schenkman was a featured artist in the Haydn and Mendelssohn bicentennial celebrations in concerts at the Frick Collection in New York and the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

Hal Holbrook will perform Mark Twain Tonight! in a special return engagement at the
Clemens Center in Downtown Elmira for one performance only on Tuesday,
November 30, 2010, at 7:30 p.m., which coincides with the 175th Anniversary of Mark
Twain’s Birthday.

Tickets are priced at $45/$35/$20 and will go on sale to the General Public on

Yates County Art Center Exhibit




The 2010 Holiday Exhibit at YCAC is titled “INTERNAL WORKS” and will feature the art work of former interns Charity Henderson and Helene Nikiforakis. Also included will be work submitted by our volunteers and docents in addition to our regular exhibiting artists. The opening reception will be Sunday, November 21st from 1PM til 3 PM. Wine will be provided by Heron Hills Winery. This is a great exhibit and a wonderful opportunity to do your Christmas shopping by purchasing one of a kind, hand made gifts for your loved ones!
